So, this was another haul after work during my nail art obsession (I usually have my nail arts done by a semi pro at the salon nearby) and i got myself a Konad Stamping Nail Art - Stone Set. The purchase was really 100% unintentional. I say unintentional because I was just literally passing by and ignoring the stall (since the first day it was released) everyday to and from work. When the lady approached me, I've decided to take a look at the stall and the sales lady offered to made a demo on my nails. Since my nails were newly polished and the girl was really nice, I nod and agreed to put it on my pinky nail only. Then she grabbed the stamp, put a little amount of polish on the image plate, scraped it and stamped it onto my nail, tadaaan! I got a cute nail!!!! I was amazed because I thought that she will grab a brush and draw some designs on my nails like what others do. Never thought on how fast and easy could that be!
And yeah I was amazed, and just realized that I was just staring at my pinky nail for I don't know how long hahaha! Because i was really thinking of the typical paint-on-nails thing and was wondering that the actual usage of equipments differ to it's actual use. Then, I started asking her the best kit for beginners and pro alike (pro?). Yeah I'm a first timer and also because it was a bit pricey then. Somewhat I was hesitant to buy but with my eyes closed, I told her that I want something that already include all necessary equipments like stamp, scraper, image plate and special polish and some accessories. So she offered me the Konad Stamping Nail Art - Stone Set. (this is how it really looks like when brand new, my kit is already messed up haha, some/more polish blots in the box)
Kit includes: • 3 Small Special Polish (5ml) (I got black,red,white) • 2 Image Plate • 30 Rhinestones/point glitters and a tube like plastic applicator/stick • 1 Scraper (steel blade) • 1 Stamp II |
(L-R) 1 Stamp II, 1 Scraper (steel blade) |
Image plates (L-R) plate# M4 , plate# M9 |
Special polish |
For first timers, it really needs practice for you to be able to achieve the perfect look like to which part of your nail are you going to stamp it and which special polish color to use and such. It's fun to use and something really rewarding and relaxing about giving yourself a manicure. Not to mention that the stamp, scraper and image plates are really easy to clean. Just put some polish remover and wipe it, voila! clean equipments again!
I bought it at a stall in Shopwise, Cubao and by that time it was for about PhP900- PhP1000. Kinda pricey right? So there! one of my compulsive buys hehe...
